Frequently asked questions
How can I get a place at one of the association's Protestant daycare centers?
Please contact your preferred daycare center directly with your request. Each daycare center has its own waiting list.
When can I register my child?
You can register your child immediately after birth.
What are the criteria for admission to a daycare center?
The following criteria serve as a guide for childcare facilities when allocating available places. Each childcare facility decides, in consultation with the church community where applicable, on the weighting of the individual criteria. The admission criteria are discussed with the parent representatives and made transparent:
- age of the child (year of birth)
- gender of the child
- siblings (siblings currently attending the daycare center)
- social criteria (employment, single parents, cramped living conditions)
- children of employees (not attending their own daycare center)
- membership in the Protestant Church, parish affiliation
- criteria for enabling inclusion (children with disabilities, children from rainbow families, children with refugee backgrounds)
Do I have to be a member of the Protestant Church to get a place in a Protestant daycare center?
No, we are open to all families. Parents and children who are members of the Protestant Church and/or the parish are very welcome.
